Designed in the 19th century by Giuseppe Poggi, the Piazzale is dedicated to the creativity of the great Florentine sculptor Michelangelo Buonarroti.
At the center of this unique place in the world stands the copy of the famous David by Michelangelo.
The tour continues with a further staircase up to the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte from where you can have an even wider view of this beautiful city.
